Meshuggah

One band I haven't seen and I'm regretting it. They have a new live dvd/cd coming out in February that looks like it could be good...

The New Deal

When this came out in 2001 it blew my mind. Progressive Breakbeat house music. These three dudes sound like a DJ mixing records, and they do it live with keys, bass, and drums. They don't play as much anymore. Merry New Deal Christmas.

Jack Rose - RIP

Last night I read that Jack Rose had died over the weekend from a heart attack. Jack was a Philadelphia native and an incredible musician. I saw him play a couple times and it was amazing how captivating he was for just a single person with an acoustic guitar. He was 38.

And here is Kensington Blues which was probably his best known album.
